These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Pressly browser extension and website (together, the “Service”). By installing the extension or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Pressly.
Using Pressly
Pressly converts news articles you choose into short video briefs for your personal, non-commercial use. You may use the Service only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You are responsible for any activity that happens under your account.
Accounts
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and notify us of any unauthorized use. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Free and Unlimited plans
The Free plan includes up to 15 video briefs per calendar month, with the full quality stack and saved history. The Unlimited plan removes the monthly cap for $4.99/month or $49/year. Both plans use the same generation quality and carry no watermark. Plan limits and pricing are shown in your dashboard and may be updated with reasonable notice.
Billing and cancellation
Unlimited subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service — including reverse-engineering or attempting to derive the source code, structure, or underlying methods of the extension or Service, bypassing usage limits, reselling briefs, overloading our systems, or using Pressly to process content you do not have the right to access. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
Content and intellectual property
Articles you convert remain the property of their original publishers, and any third-party text, images, or other media that may appear in a brief belong to their respective owners. Pressly does not claim ownership of source content, and you are responsible for ensuring your use of generated briefs respects the rights of the original publishers and rights holders. The Pressly name, extension, software, and the systems and methods used to generate briefs are the exclusive property of Pressly, and nothing in these Terms grants you any right to copy, reproduce, or reverse-engineer them.
Disclaimers
Pressly generates summaries automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Briefs are not a substitute for reading primary sources where accuracy is critical. You use the Service at your own discretion.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pressly and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and termination
We may update these Terms or modify the Service over time. We will post material changes on this page with a new date. You may stop using Pressly at any time, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
