There has never been more news, and never less time to read it. The moment the internet started to undercut the news & publication industry's distribution and revenue stream, news publishers and writers had to move into the digital space, but with no innovative or adaptive way to adapt to the speed of the internet, while every second this space has been flooded with news & articles ever since. Every open tab is another 8-minute article competing with the ten other things you're supposed to be doing today, and you scroll past headlines you never actually get informed by, and the only one who loses is you
We didn’t think the fix was another feed, narration button, summary , or another app asking for five more minutes of attention. So we built Pressly around a simpler idea: in a world of abundant information and countless news stories to catch up with, you only need a 30-second video-brief to get an idea of what an article said and stay informed, not read the whole thing, and spend your time behind walls of text just to play catch-up.
